THE EVOQUE CONVERTIBLE, ACCORDING to the company is the world’s first convertible luxury SUV. It gets a fabric roof that can be raised in 21 seconds and folded away into the boot within 18 seconds, even at speeds of up to 48kmph. The SUV gets rollover bars that are stowed away in the rear bodywork, which deploy in 90 milliseconds in case the car rolls over.
Despite the convertible design, this Evoque offers 251 litres of boot space with the roof folded down. Another upgrade on the Evoque Convertible is the 10.2-inch touch screen infotainment system which provides smartphone integration and 3G connectivity. This SUV gets an Si4 petrol motor that produces 240PS and the 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine in 150 and 180PS states of
tune. To handle off-road duties, the Evoque Convertible gets Range Rover’s Terrain Response System and Wade Sensing feature.
