Well, I am pleased to announce that the 2nd official incarnation of The Hyenas Got It Down (3rd if you count the workshop production in '08) was a smashing success. Hyenas played for 3 nights as part of the 11th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival's Short Subjects Division at the WorkShop Theatre. Audiences continued to respond very strongly to this potent 50-minute show, lavishing it with such lovely adjectives as "Great", Phenominal", "Amazing", "Hilarious", "Brilliant", etc. No, I promise I did not make those up. I also swear that these are not all from one person :^).
We even got a Standing O!!!
The hope now is that Hyenas gets a chance to have a somewhat longer run, allowing it to benefit from the great audience word-of-mouth it's been getting. For now, as they say on the BRAVO Network; Watch what happens!
