I could not be more pleased to report that the run of The Enlightenment of Mrs. Cartwell in Week 1 of the Estrogenius Festival was extremely well-received by audiences consistently throughout its 5 performance run this week. And, as always, I am most appreciative of my friends who came out to see it. Hopefully, we will have a chance to run Cartwell during the Estro Encore week later this month, but the results won't be known for certain until next week. Keep your eyes peeled.
Lastly, earlier this week, I was most excited to discover that my full-length The Narrow World has been optioned by the LA-based Fresh Baked Theatre Company at the Lex Theatre in Hollywood, Ca. The play will run for 9 performances over the course of 3 weekends from Jan. 22nd-Feb 7th. This will serve as my first excuse to go to California, as I will catch the last few rehearsals into opening weekend. I'm thrilled that this particular play of mine will finally be realized in a full production, after having a few close calls over many years. I guess the mantra is true; patience is a virtue.
